As a service project, Girl Scouts from Troop 2036 came to support the local We’ve Got Your Back program. While volunteering, the girls were able to sort food items, stock shelves and have a great time preparing backpacks for distribution to local homeless school children.

Thank you for lending your helpful hands!

Eight members of Girl Scout Troop 177 recently received the Silver Award, the highest honor for a Cadette Girl Scout, for their planning and implementation of a recent service project to benefit Giving Children Hope.

These Cadette Girl Scouts spent more than 40 hours each to plan and host their Brownie and Friend sleepover, where the beautiful blankets they donated to the We’ve Got Your Back program were made. Read the full story here.

Congratulations girls and thank you, again, for your wonderful gift to Giving Children Hope!

Sip, Shop, Share Boutique was a unique partnership idea presented to Giving Children Hope by Bethany Shuck right after the earthquake in Haiti. Vendors within the community wanted a way to give back while doing what they love and sharing their talents. As each community vendor sold their goods at a boutique, 50 percent of the proceeds were donated to GCHope to help aid the victims in Haiti.

Bethany later came back to GCHope to propose the boutique to benefit our local program, We’ve Got Your Back, which feeds homeless children in Orange County each week. Sip, Shop, Share Boutique was held in December and our partner, Bethany, stopped by to share a bit of her story and donate approximately $450 collected at the event.

Thank you for this wonderful partnership!

Last Friday, a group of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity members from the Gamma Delta Chapter at University of Arizona came to volunteer their time with Giving Children Hope. The group worked to sort food and stuff backpacks for the local We’ve Got Your Back program as well as sort medical supplies and prepare shipments of humanitarian medical aid for Iraq, Haiti and other regions of the world.

We’re so grateful for hours spent and hard work completed by PKA. Thank you donating your time with GCHope!

Volunteer missionaries and partners, Stephen and John, came to the Giving Children Hope facilities to gather blankets for their upcoming trip to Mexico. Along with five other volunteers, these men will be traveling to Ensenada to distribute 150 blankets to orphanages. This trip is a part of an on-going relationship with communities in Mexico, providing basic needs and care.
