Giving For Living
We thrive on partnerships – partnerships with our donors, volunteers and especially our fellow nonprofits! Giving for Living works to build relationships with other nonprofit organizations in Southern California. We focus on these partners’ unique missions and assist them in obtaining the supplies they need to run their programs. We maximize nonprofits’ limited funding by providing resources to help them reach their goals.
Current partners that benefit from our program include nonprofit agencies, churches and missionaries. We also supply pregnancy centers, homeless shelters, drug rehabilitation programs, youth programs and various churches fulfill their unique missions.
The resources supplied by Giving for Living come from our partnerships with donors, specifically Good360, which allow us to receive overstock and returned products from local businesses on a regular, ongoing basis. These products are gathered at our Buena Park distribution center and turned over to our partner agencies for nominal handling fees.
Some of the items typically in stock are:
- Personal care products such as shampoo, dental care, deodorant and feminine hygiene
- Over the counter medications such as cold, allergy and pain relief medications
- First aid supplies, vitamins, adult diapers, liquid nutrition and latex exam gloves
- Basic living needs such as sheets, bedding, towels and a variety of household goods such as coffee pots, vacuum cleaners and curtains
Our inventory is always new as we are constantly receiving shipments of goods. All items have a nominal handling fee.
