What a fun, energetic group of volunteers we had from Tarbut V’Torah! Not only did these students blast pop tunes and dance to Miley Cyrus while packing 2000 backpacks with food in our warehouse, but their youthful energy motivated all the staff members, and they brought zest to our facility during the two weeks they were at Giving Children Hope.
As part of a work study program through their school, the students, along with their Dean, Keren Wolf, helped with Giving Children Hope’s We’ve Got Your Back program. They also assisted in organizing supplies for the Giving for Living store.
Ms. Wolf expressed that volunteering for Giving Children Hope was a great opportunity for Tarbut V’Torah students to gain insight on how a non profit works, as well as to learn the process of receiving and distributing donations. The students were so truly touched by the experience at GCH that afterwards, they held a bake sale to help raise funds for Giving Children Hope.
We are very grateful for the time the Tarbut V’Torah students spent in helping and supporting us and we’re looking forward to having them come back soon!
